                                                                 *********

I love this blog, I have been following it for some time now and  I feel that all mothers identify with what Sofia calls being a 'mom next door'. In motherhood, everything is beautiful and new, and the sweet scent of babies does help ... however there is also the other side, those moments we can only talk to other mothers, because only someone who is going through the same, will understand. For this reason I think it is so important mommy blogs, where blogs like Sofia expose in a simple and truthful way the daily lives of mothers who try to balance being women, working mothers and be the very best we can with what we have at the time.

Sofia's daily miracle, means allot to me: it talks about that family of the heart which we call friends. Shonda Rhimes called it on Grey's Anatomy 'my person'. Those ones, who come into our lives and while not being blood family, are sometimes with whom we share very special moments, but also painful ones. Those friends who really know us, sometimes better than our own family, those friends with whom we create strong ties for life.

This is Sofia's miracle.

'The family is everything to me, but friendship also has a crucial weight in my life. I am fortunate to have a group of longtime friends, and have a best friend with whom sometimes there isn't even the need of words as to understand what the other is feeling or about to say. And as if complicity, and  life itself was not enough - destiny, angels or God ... - presented us with a situation that for many will be a mere coincidence, but for us it is not. It has to be more than that.

My son Gonçalo, now 4, was born ahead of schedule. For as close as one day, he was not born premature. He was born on the very day of her birthday. This February, her daughter was born. Also a few days ahead of schedule ... on my own birthday!

It's life's magic, at its best! <3 '

I hope it has inspired you! More to follow soon!

Espero que vos tenha inspirado! Mais virão a caminho!
